According to PEOPLE magazine, the Elliston, Ohio, native and musician Brian Walker, are set to tie the knot next month.
Bowersox, 25, is currently recording her debut album. The soulful singer was constantly praised by the judges, but Americans voted for Lee DeWyze to be the winner.
Her powerful pipes aren't the only things that have made headlines - in addition to her trademark dreadlocks and previously imperfect smile, Bowersox famously broke up with her then boyfriend just hours before the final performance night on Idol. At the time, she said the split was mutual, but the singer displayed raw emotion while delivering a knockout rendition of Patty Griffin's "Up to the Mountain."
Bowersox has a son, Tony, 1 ½ , from a previous relationship.
This is the first marriage for both Bowersox and Walker.
